Upcycling Crafts

Upcycling directly benefits the environment as it reduces the volume of discarded materials and waste that would otherwise be sent to the landfill. In order to reduce waste, we should always first try to refuse purchase and consider other available alternatives. If that is unavoidable, then why not turn trash into treasure?

Remember, you cannot be responsible for everyone else's trash but you can definitely be responsible for your own! 

Look around you and see what waste items you have that can be reused and converted into something useful. Plastic bags can be made into plastic yarn which can be woven into bags. Toilet paper roll can be cut, painted and glued into beautiful stationery holders. Old clothes can be used as rags or made into stuffed toys. The possibilities are endless!
